The National Mining Association will hold a private conference at Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., next month, according to a new report.
The association's board members will meet at the Pennsylvania Avenue hotel Oct. 3-4, the Intercept reported.
Trump has been friendly to the mining industry, relaxing some environmental rules which the industry opposed that were put in place by the Obama administration.
Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is scheduled to speak at the event. He also spoke at an oil industry event at the hotel in March.
Other industries and foreign governments have hosted events at Trump properties since he took office. This week, the prime minister of Malaysia stayed at the hotel during his visit to Washington.
Trump's party has made use of the hotel as well.
Republican political committees have spent close to $1.3 million this year at properties owned by President Trump, according to an August report from the Federal Election Commission. The RNC is one of 19 federal political committees that has visited the Trump International Hotel this year, spending $122,000 at the hotel in June.
